Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking a Bridge Engineer for our Richmond, VA office. You will lead analysis, design, and detailing for local and state DOT bridge projects under supervision of senior engineers, and participate in meetings, reporting, and field activities.

Required is a Civil Engineering degree with a structural focus and 7–10 years of bridge experience; EIT is preferred, PE is a plus. Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenBridge Modeler, AASHTOware, AutoCAD, MathCAD, and MS Office is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (structural) from ABET-accredited college.
• 7–10 years of experience in bridge design/analysis.
• EIT certificate preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• PE license is a plus.
• Experience with VDOT/local government projects and related design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design, and detailing of local and state DOT bridge projects under supervision of senior bridge engineers.
• Attend meetings and conferences as required.
• Prepare reports, conduct field reconnaissance and inspections.
