Base Salary Range

$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Position Overview

Seeking a Bridge Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Newark, DE. The role includes full benefits such as PTO, Medical, Dental, and 401k. Salary is between $80,000 and $100,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform bridge design within multi-disciplinary projects, focusing on design, rehabilitation, and load rating.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and provide technical oversight.
• Manage multiple projects and conduct bridge inspections across the Mid-Atlantic, especially Delaware and nearby states.
• Develop reports, specifications, and technical documents.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and man-hour estimates.
• Some travel is expected.
• Interact with clients regarding technical challenges and project management opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Structural Engineering preferred; Bachelor's Degree required.
• P.E. License strongly preferred.
• 4+ years relevant experience.
• Completion of FHWA-NHI-13005 and/or FHWA-NHI-130078 courses preferred.
• Experience with proposal development, load rating, BrIM/BIM, AutoCAD, MicroStation, In-Roads, GeoPak, and Open Bridge Modeler.
• Knowledge of AASHTO and state DOT design criteria, especially with DelDOT, MDSHA, VDOT, DCDOT, and PennDOT projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP, STAAD, LEAP Bridge, etc.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
