Job summary

Lochmueller Group in Illinois is seeking a Structural Project Engineer / Project Manager to join our Structures team. The candidate will lead bridge design projects for DOT and local agencies, directing design and construction documents.

You will manage scopes, budgets, and schedules, provide bridge inspection services, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. PE licensed professionals with 8+ years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• PE licensure is preferred or required.
• 8+ years of structural engineering experience with bridge design.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a project engineer and/or project manager on DOT and local bridge projects.
• Lead the preparation of complete design and construction documents for bridges.
• Plan and coordinate aspects of the engineering work.
• Provide bridge inspection services.
• Assist management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
• Assist with preparation of proposals and funding applications.
• Take on additional responsibilities and projects as they arise.
