Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber seeks a Bridge Design Intern for Summer 2027 in Michigan. You will assist in design work, create drawings with AutoCAD and OpenRoads Designer, and support engineers across offices on civil projects for the DOT.

The internship targets students in Civil Engineering with a drive to learn. Strong communication and organizational skills are valued; some DOT project experience is a plus, with opportunities for hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Eager to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Previous internship or DOT project experience is helpful but not required.

Location: Grand Rapids or Farmington Hills

Employment Type: Full-Time Internship

Working with our Transportation team, you will assist in the design of roads, and other civil projects for the DOT.

What You'll Do
