Job summary

Consor in Draper, Utah seeks an Engineer in Training to join our Structural/Bridge group. You will work under an experienced engineer on a range of highway and pedestrian bridges, culverts, walls, and related structures.

This hybrid role blends office and field work; you will develop designs, perform analyses, and prepare reports while growing toward professional licensure through FE/EIT.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on bridge design.
• Demonstrated experience with bridge design principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge of concrete and steel design.
• Experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) or MicroStation.
• Beneficial software experience: Erickson Culvert, BGS, PGSuper, RISA, LEAP Bridge Suite.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable time frame (pass FE exam).

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with a team of engineers on a project.
• Focus on career building with set achievable goals.
• Perform structural and bridge analysis and engineering calculations.
• Develop structural/bridge plans, specifications, estimates, and supporting documents.
• Conduct conceptual engineering studies.
• Support preliminary engineering and final design efforts.
• Prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate with internal project managers, coworkers, local governments, and UDOT.
