Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Bridge Engineer, EIT to join our Transportation team in Farmington Hills, MI. You will design bridges, culverts, and retaining walls, and participate in 3D modeling and plan production using MicroStation/OpenRoads/AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

The role requires 0–2 years of experience, an EIT certification possibility, and a drive to pursue PE licensure. Hybrid work and periodic site visits are part of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering (structural focus is a plus).
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification with the intent to obtain PE Certification, preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D is favorable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Travel approximately 15% or more.

Responsibilities

• Design bridges, culverts and retaining walls.
• Plan production including 3D Modeling and CADD.
• Load rating analysis of bridges.
• Utilize structural design software.
• Prepare structural evaluation studies and related reports.
• Compute estimated quantities, plan notes, and develop cost estimates.
• Site visits to support the design process.
