Job summary

HDR is seeking a Bridge EIT to contribute to the development of bridge designs across diverse projects. You will apply structural engineering and detailing techniques, perform load calculations, and support project teams in a collaborative employee-owned environment.

Proficiency with tools such as LEAP, OpenBridge, and Civil3D, plus a foundational understanding of various bridge types, will help you contribute to critical infrastructure projects across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in bridge/structural design preferred.
• EIT or FE exam completed or in progress.
• Local candidates preferred for onsite work.
• Familiarity with listed software tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of bridge designs.
• Work on projects including bridge types (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable) and interchange design.
• Select standard bridge procedures and develop structural details using specialized software.
• Perform structural load calculations and assist with layout and quantity development.
• Develop structural details with basic design/analysis software.
• Participate in bridge inspection and assist with geometry and quantity development.
• Perform other duties as needed.
