Job summary

HDR is seeking a Highway Bridge EIT/Designer to contribute to bridge design and detailing across steel, concrete, and segmental bridges. The role involves performing load calculations, layout, and quantity development using advanced software tools in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Structural Engineering and are proficient with major bridge software, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and listed engineering software packages.
• Proficiency in OpenBridge Modeler or InfraWorks and Civil3D.
• Strong understanding of computers for structural layout and design.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Commitment to employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in bridge designs.
• Work on projects including steel plate girder, prestress concrete, and other bridges.
• Perform structural load calculations and assist with layout and quantity development.
• Develop structural details using specialized software.
• Participate in bridge inspection and related calculations.
• Perform other duties as needed.
