Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) in Wall Township, NJ, seeks a Bridge Department Manager to lead our Bridge Department on major transportation projects in the Northeast, combining leadership, technical direction, project delivery, staff development, and active client engagement to grow the practice.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 15+ years in bridge/structural engineering, and a proven record delivering complex design through construction while mentoring teams and expanding relations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; New Jersey PE license preferred or ability to obtain through reciprocity
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in bridge/structural/transportation engineering
• Experience managing complex bridge and transportation projects from design through construction
• Strong leadership and mentoring of staff; proven client relationship development

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Bridge Department and project delivery
• Serve as Senior Project Manager/Project Manager on complex bridge projects
• Provide technical leadership on bridge design, rehabilitation, and inspections
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across bridge and transportation disciplines
• Develop and mentor bridge staff and contribute to staff growth and recruitment
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations for successful delivery
• Build and maintain relationships with NJDOT and other agencies
• Support business development and opportunities for department growth
