Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) in Wall Township, NJ, seeks a Transportation Engineering Project Manager to lead bridge and highway projects across New Jersey. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with NJDOT and public agencies, mentoring staff, and pursuing client opportunities.

The role requires a PE license, 8+ years of transportation or bridge design experience, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive technically complex assignments and business

Qualifications

• PE license required (NJ preferred or reciprocity)
• 8+ years of transportation/bridge design experience
• Experience managing complex transportation infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with NJDOT bridge design standards and AASHTO requirements
• Experience with proposal development and business development preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation projects including bridge rehabilitation/replacement and highway improvements
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams
• Serve as primary client contact with NJDOT, counties, municipalities
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality control, and client expectations
• Oversee development of plans, specs, estimates, and design documents
• Coordinate design efforts and provide technical guidance
• Ensure compliance with AASHTO and NJDOT standards
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to business growth
• Support proposals and client presentations
• Perform site visits and structural assessments
