Job summary

Wallace Montgomery is seeking a coating inspector to join our inspection team in Richmond, VA. Inspect coating systems on bridges and structures, document findings, and ensure adherence to plans and specifications.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, at least 2 years of experience, and a NACE Coating Technician Level II certification. Travel and night shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all phases of highway construction and maintenance projects to ensure coating quality and compliance with plans and specs.
• Monitor and inspect contractors' coating operations for quality control and contract compliance.
• Schedule inspection phases with contractor's superintendent and agency personnel.
• Read and interpret structure and bridge plans and specifications.
• Complete destructive and non-destructive testing as necessary for inspections.
• Maintain daily field reports and documentation.
