Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards, reporting to the Store Manager. You will deliver friendly, knowledgeable service and support the store team in a bridal retail setting.

The position requires sewing experience, high school diploma, and 1–2 years retail exposure with the ability to manage multiple customers and use POS systems. Part-time benefits apply and a strong customer focus is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
• Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment.
• Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm and assist by phone, chat, or in person.
• Use systems to manage customer flow and deliver a five-star experience.
• Maintain service levels and meet customer needs per store standards.
• Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at once.
• Promote alteration services and personalization options in partnership with Alterations.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by consulting on gown fit and customization.
• Maintain the alterations room and ensure garments meet quality standards.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent degree

1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment

Prior sewing experience required

Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus
