Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to deliver high-quality fittings and alterations with friendly, knowledgeable service. You will partner with stylists to ensure gowns meet event needs, maintain the alterations area, and manage garment quality from alteration to delivery.

The role emphasizes bridal/special occasion alterations, a strong customer service ethic, and adherence to store standards and dress code policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of retail experience in apparel or specialty store environment preferred.
• Prior sewing experience required, bridal and/or special occasion production preferred.
• Experience with computerized POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers by phone, chat or in person with friendly enthusiasm and resolve conflicts.
• Use systems to manage customer flow and deliver a five-star experience.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
• Maintain alterations room and ensure garments are inspected before delivery.
• Handle alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming and spot cleaning to company standards.
• Respond to customer questions with product and service information and build lasting relationships.
