Job summary

Total Safety is seeking an Equipment Technician to service, test and repair fixed and portable gas monitoring and breathing air equipment at customer sites. The role emphasizes quality workmanship, documentation, and safety while supporting the breathable air loop system from the client’s facility.

Responsibilities include inspection, cleaning, assembly and testing of SCBA and other breathing apparatus, maintaining work areas, and completing all required paperwork with accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; associate degree, technical or military training strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery or related industry.
• Valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance; good driving record; forklift certification ability or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, clean, service, reassemble and test SCBA and breathing air equipment.
• Stock shelves and prepare customer orders; maintain a clean work area.
• Inspect and maintain breathing air regulators; document inspections and invoicing.
