Job summary

Total Safety is seeking an Air Technician in Beaumont TX to perform cleaning, calibration and repair of gas monitoring systems and breathing equipment. The role includes facility support, data entry, and customer invoicing documentation.

Required is at least 1 year in fire protection or related industries, valid driver’s license with insurance, and willingness to travel to client sites, including offshore. Training provided for licenses and certifications.

Qualifications

• At least one year of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery or related industry.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of insurance and safe driving record; be insurable for company trucks.
• Willing to travel to customers’ sites, including short/long-term offshore projects.
• Possess Class C license with DOT hazardous endorsement if required; obtain state licenses within 6 months; ICC/NAFED certification.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA, CFR) and applicable Coast Guard/ABS rules offshore.

Responsibilities

• Clean, calibrate and repair various fixed and portable gas monitoring systems and breathing equipment.
• Inspect, service, reassemble and test SCBA and breathing air equipment per procedures.
• Complete documentation and data entry with customer signature for invoicing and records.
• Perform visual inspections and functional tests; report deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with stocking, loading orders and maintaining clean work areas; perform duties after training.
