The Florida Department of Health seeks a part-time Dietetic Technician to support Jackson County WIC and other clinics. Responsibilities include breastfeeding counseling, client outreach, and record-keeping.

You will work under supervision, handling nutrition education and referrals while ensuring excellent customer service and confidentiality. Must be a paraprofessional and available outside regular hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
• Experience with breastfeeding support or counseling preferred.
• Paraprofessional background in health, nutrition, or related field desired.

Responsabilités

• Counsel WIC participants by telephone or clinic visits as scheduled.
• Provide breastfeeding information and support to new mothers.
• Maintain accurate records in FL-WISE and clinic files.
• Attend classes, staff meetings, and breastfeeding conferences as required.
• Protect client confidentiality and comply with information security rules.
