Florida Department of Health in Callahan, FL seeks an OPS Nutrition Educator to support the WIC program. You will provide nutrition counseling, assess client data, and refer to related services while working under the supervision of a licensed nutritionist.

You will evaluate growth data, ensure proper notes in FL-WiSE, and promote breastfeeding across populations including pregnant and postpartum clients. Evening and travel to Nassau locations may be required.

Qualificações

• Requires BS/MS in nutrition-related field and ability to provide coverage at Nassau WIC sites.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work with a healthcare team and document care.
• Willingness to teach clients and staff on nutrition and breastfeeding.
• Proficiency with electronic records and FL-WiSE usage.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Screen and enroll eligible clients into the WIC program.
• Provide nutrition counseling and health information.
• Promote and educate on breastfeeding benefits.
• Schedule and follow up on high-risk cases as needed.
• Teach group nutrition classes and referrals to related programs.
