Doc PersonalBeratung GmbH is seeking a Breastfeeding Support Specialist to promote and support breastfeeding through the WIC program in the United States. • State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and relevant human services or social services experience.
• Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
• Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application may upload an unofficial copy of the transcript as an attachment to the application.
• Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Contact WIC Breastfeeding moms by clinic, phone calls, text messages, emails, letters or hospital visits within 1-7 days and 8-14 days after delivery to provide breastfeeding support.
• Make contact weekly for the next three weeks after birth and at least monthly thereafter while breastfeeding.
• Refer breastfeeding moms/infants with complex situations to the breastfeeding coordinator.
• Make prenatal contacts at 16,20,24,27,31,35,39,40 and 41 weeks gestation using Natural Nutrition resources.
• Keep accurate records of all contacts with WIC mothers with confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor(s) and/or Breastfeeding Coordinator.
