Job summary

Legacy Health is seeking a Breast Surgical Oncologist to join a team serving the Portland Metro area. The role involves leading cancer care across office, outpatient, and inpatient settings with on-call coverage for Legacy Hospitals.

Qualifications

Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
Completion of General Surgery residency.
Board Certified in General Surgery.
Board fellowship in Surgical Oncology or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Provides full range of cancer care in office, outpatient, or inpatient settings.
Provides non-trauma coverage on an on-call capacity for Legacy Hospitals.
Provides office follow-up of cancer patients.
Provides consultation on cancer-related issues.
Participates in Legacy Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement programs as appropriate for clinical practice.
Participates on relevant committees as requested.
Engages in community outreach regarding Legacy’s Cancer Services.
Completes medical records, coding and billing schedules in a timely fashion.
Collaborates with adult and elderly/geriatric patients; works with other specialists to develop a comprehensive Legacy Cancer program.
