Job summary

Legacy Health's Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland is seeking a full-time Urologist to provide comprehensive care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and opportunities for teaching and program development.

The ideal candidate is board eligible or board-certified in Urologic Surgery, licensed to practice in Oregon with a DEA registration. Relocation, CME allowance, and a full medical plan are included as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Board eligibility or certification in Urologic Surgery (ABU)
• Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Urologic Surgery residency and fellowship

Responsibilities

• Provides a full range of urology care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Participates in call coverage for urologic patients with other urology physicians.
• Responds to referral physicians verbally and in writing.
• Participates in Legacy Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement programs and peer review.
• Supervises physician assistants involved with surgery and management of urology patients.

Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking a full-time Urologist to join their team.

The ideal candidate should be a board eligible or board-certified in Urologic Surgery by the American Board of Urology.

Responsibilities

• Provides a full range of urology care to patients of Legacy Health. Such care is provided in both outpatient and inpatient settings and includes the full and expected mix of patient problems and surgical approaches.


• Participates in call coverage for urologic patients and new patients along with other urology physicians on the LPH Medical Staff.


• Responds verbally and in writing to referral physicians.


• Participates in Legacy Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement programs as appropriate for clinical practice including peer review in Department of Surgery.


• Provides input and advice regarding future capital and equipment needs for the urology program at Legacy Health.


• Provides clinical supervision for physician associates directly involved with surgery and management of urology patients. Is the physician supervisor of record for physician associates in this program.


• Provides education and training of physician associates as needed and requested.


• Participates in Legacy research and education activities as appropriate.


• Participates in employee evaluations and staff selection as requested and pertinent.

Qualifications

• Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.


• Completion of an accredited Urologic Surgery residency and fellowship.


• Board eligible/certified in Urologic Surgery by the American Board of Urology.

Licensure

• Unrestricted Oregon medical license and DEA.


• Current BLS certificate from the American Heart Association.
