Job summary

Qualifications

• Detail knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy to perform independent procedures to Radiologist standards.
• Proficiency with hospital computer systems and basic MS Office.
• Strong patient care and communication skills for all ages.
• Ability to explain procedures, obtain history, and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Proficient in using Radiology software and PACS, adapting to department policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity, exam appropriateness, and history prior to scanning.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and privacy.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and disinfect as required.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers for continuity of care.
• Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean and stocked.
