Job summary

Unified Mammography Services in Chicago seeks a Per Diem Breast Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic breast ultrasound procedures and support radiologists with image acquisition and interpretation.

The role requires ARDMS registration or eligibility for ARDMS Breast Registry/ARRT Breast Sonography, with 2+ years of breast imaging experience and strong communication skills. Training and collaboration with the Mammography team are provided.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registered sonographer.
• Eligibility for ARDMS Advanced Breast Registry or ARRT Breast Sonography within six months.
• Minimum 2 years of breast sonography experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with PACS/RIS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams and ensure proper image capture.
• Explain the procedure to patients to ensure understanding.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and sterile room.
• Evaluate images for quality and provide preliminary findings.
• Present images and notes to physicians and team.
• Maintain patient records and comply with documentation.
• Collaborate with Mammography techs and Radiologist.
• Review prior images/reports before exams.
• Use PACS, EMR and imaging systems.
