Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in a PRN daytime schedule at our Bolingbrook, IL site. You will verify patient identity, obtain clinical history, and ensure optimal imaging while maintaining safety and privacy standards.

You’ll document findings in EMR/PACS, educate patients about procedures, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure seamless patient care.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy to perform independent procedures.
• Proficiency with radiology software and PACS systems.
• Strong patient-care and communication skills across all ages.
• Current BLS certification and ARRT registrations related to vascular/abdomen/breast ultrasound preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and obtain clinical history prior to scanning.
• Position patients and operate equipment to acquire optimal images and data.
• Document exam findings in EMR and PACS accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of care.
