Job summary

Methodist Diagnostic Center – Southaven is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist with strong Breast experience. This PRN role involves operating Ultrasound and Non-Invasive Vascular equipment, providing patient assessments, and supporting education within the radiology team.

The position requires an Associate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, ARDMS certifications, and BLS. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, and candidates must be able to work rotating Mon-Fri shifts.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is required.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification is required (abdomen).
• BLS certification required.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Ultrasound examinations per the Radiology/Ultrasound Procedure Guide.
• Assess patient status during exams and document findings.
• Assist in training and guiding other staff.
• Participate in quality monitoring and ensure compliance with hospital standards.
• Maintain equipment performance through QC tests and adjustments.
