Job summary

Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform mammography and other X-ray exams, assist physicians, and ensure proper documentation is completed for each study. You will position patients, set exposure factors, protect against radiation, and coordinate with departments to deliver high-quality imaging services.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree in an accredited RT program, NJ DEP license, ARRT Radiography Certification, and CPR

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• NJ DEP license and ARRT Radiography Certification are required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Preferred: 200 mammography exams in past 24 months.
• ARRT Mammography certification within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical mammography experience.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views.
• Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
• Sets exposure factors and position with knowledge of radiographic techniques.
• Practices radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient and staff.
• Operates mobile x-ray equipment in various care settings, including OR/ER.
• Specializes in production of screening and diagnostic x-rays for breast imaging.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

Associate's Degree in an accredited RT Program or related field.

NJ DEP license

ARRT Radiography Certification

CPR Certified

200 mammography exams performed within past 24 months

ARRT Mammography certification (obtained within 1 year of hire)

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Mammography or relevant area
