Job summary

Atlantic Health’s radiology team seeks a Mammography Technologist to operate X-ray equipment for breast imaging, assist physicians, and ensure accurate documentation. The role requires patient positioning, dose optimization, and strict adherence to radiation safety protocols across various care settings.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in radiologic technology, ARRT Mammography certification, and a valid state license with CPR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an accredited RT program.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical Mammography experience.
• State RT license and ARRT Mammography certification.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and adjust immobilization to obtain optimal views as requested by physician.
• Explain procedures to reduce patient anxiety and gain cooperation.
• Set exposure factors (time, distance) per radiographic protocols.
• Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure.
• Operate mobile x-ray equipment in OR/ER or bedside.
• Specialize in screening and diagnostic breast imaging.
