Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate X-ray equipment and perform mammography studies in Hackettstown, NJ. You will assist physicians, position patients, and ensure accurate documentation and patient safety throughout imaging procedures.

The role requires an ARRT Radiography certification, NJ DEP license, and CPR certification, with preferred Mammography certification and prior mammography experience. This is a hospital-based, on-site role at Hackettstown Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Must have an accredited RT program and license to practice radiography.
• ARRT Radiography certification and CPR certification are required.
• NJ Department of Environmental Protection license is required to operate within the state.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain diagnostic views.
• Explain procedures to reduce patient anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Set exposure factors and follow radiographic protocols.
• Apply shielding and radiation protection best practices.
• Operate mobile X-ray equipment in various care settings.
• Specialize in mammography imaging for breast cancer detection.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
