Job summary

Valley Health in Winchester, VA, seeks a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact in the VH VPE Breast Center. You will schedule outpatient visits, process referrals, greet patients, and support registration, billing, and HIM workflows.

Excellent customer service and attention to detail are essential. You will handle phone inquiries, verify insurance data, collect payments, and maintain confidentiality while assisting the ambulatory care team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant work experience required (Associates degree may substitute for one year).
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient appointments and coordinate referrals within clinic guidelines.
• Greet and assist patients, deliver courteous, accurate front desk service.
• Capture complete demographic and financial information for registration and billing.
• Process patient payments and receipts; balance cash drawer per policy.
• Answer calls with a professional greeting and document messages and prescription requests.
• Manage health information requests and ensure confidentiality of patient records.
• Cover other office functions as needed to support staffing and operations.
