Job summary

Virginia Heart is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our outpatient cardiology team in Falls Church, VA. This full-time, non-exempt role supports our Call Center by scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and guiding callers with empathy and professionalism.

You will help maintain patient privacy and ensure accurate data in the electronic health records system. The ideal candidate has call center experience, strong communication skills, and a customer-first

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Call Center experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of consumer-to-consumer service experience.
• Knowledge of, and prior experience in Medical or Managed Care industry is preferred.
• Strong skills in written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
• Self-motivation, resourcefulness, detail-orientation, accountability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments for medical services via phone or online requests.
• Records patient information in the Electronic Health Records system.
• Transfers calls or messages to appropriate personnel per protocol.
• Interacts with internal offices to address patients’ needs.
• Maintains confidentiality and integrity of patient data.
• Meets call statistics goals and quality targets.
