Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Breakfast Attendant at Homewood Suites Portsmouth to deliver exceptional service in the complimentary breakfast area. You will greet guests, manage the breakfast setup, assist with food and beverage service, and support other hotel operations as needed.

The role requires a pleasant, guest-focused attitude, ability to work varied shifts, and basic math skills for cashiering and end-of-shift tasks. A comprehensive benefits package is provided for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must meet legal age to serve alcohol and pass TIPs or equivalent training.
• Must be able to obtain and provide Food Handlers card as required by city/county/state.
• Basic math and cashiering skills necessary for closing checks.
• Positive attitude and a desire to be of service to others.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them in a timely manner.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness for the breakfast area and serve spaces.
• Stock, organize, and replenish breakfast items and related supplies.
• Prepare high quality drinks and beverages as requested.
• Assist with cashiering duties and closing checks at shift end.
• Communicate with other departments regarding VIP guests and special requests.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and complete side work per station rotation.
• Respond to guest inquiries and provide friendly, professional service.
