Job summary

Hampton Inn and Suites San Mateo San Francisco Airport is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to support food preparation, setup, and cleanliness of breakfast and related areas, including during special guest functions.

Responsibilities include taking breakfast orders, managing invoices, maintaining inventory, ensuring health code compliance, lifting up to 50 pounds, and assisting with meeting room setups.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and/or place the breakfast food order.
• Turn in all delivery invoices to GM or verify and audit all receivables against delivery slip.
• Prepare and set-up breakfast foods.
• Conduct regular inventories of food and paper or non-perishable items used at breakfast.
• Maintain the stock of breakfast foods and supplies during breakfast service.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the breakfast area, mop/sweep floors, wipe down counters and equipment during and after breakfast hours.
• Maintain company standards by recording food temperatures and following health codes.
• Complete food safety certification.
• Assist in setting up meeting rooms and banquets and maintain cleanliness of the meeting room.
• Clean public areas daily according to company standards.
• Clean breakfast area tables and chairs as required.
• Notify supervisor/operations management of any problems with cleaning or equipment.
• Complete maintenance work orders and deliver to supervisor/manager promptly.
• Use the LEARN model for guest recovery incidents (Listen, Empathize, Apologize, React, Notify).
• Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor when interacting with guests.
• Know all hotel emergency procedures.
• Follow hotel safety guidelines and QA standards.
• Administer key control for issued keys and keys left by guests.
• Take lost and found items to supervisor/manager for logging and storage.
• Accommodate guest special requests courteously.
• Answer guest questions about hotel facilities and local area services.
• Perform reasonable management requests within capability.
• Be prepared for possible changes to duties with or without notice.
