Job summary

Bellmoor Inn & Spa in Rehoboth Beach, DE is seeking a friendly server to assist with setting tables, serving beverages, and delivering thoughtful guest service in a busy dining room. Responsibilities include maintaining clean stations, helping food servers, handling tableware, and responding to guest requests with a smile.

A High School Diploma and hospitality background are preferred; fluency in English is required with other languages a plus.

Qualifications

• Fluent English (reading, writing and speaking); other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set and prepare tables for dining, including folding napkins and placing tableware.
• Serve water and assist with table service as needed.
• Maintain and clean designated food stations and server stations.
• Retrieve dirty tableware and transport to dishwashing area.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and politely.
• Report any tableware defects for repair.

Description

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Set and prepare tables for dining, including, but not limited to, folding napkins, cleaning and placing tableware, serving water, etc.
• Ensure tableware is in good and working condition and report any defects for repair
• Stock, maintain and clean designated food station(s) / server station(s)
• Assist food server(s) with table service, including, but not limited to, serving beverages, bread and butter, etc.
• Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
• Clear dirty table settings and preparetables for resetting
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous background from the hospitality industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Will be required to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals.
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Will be required to work mornings, weekends, and holidays.
