Job summary

Bellmoor Inn & Spa in Rehoboth Beach, DE seeks a guest-focused server assistant to join our dining team. You will set and prepare tables, assist servers, stock stations, and ensure smooth service.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, hospitality background preferred, fluent English, physical stamina for lifting up to 50 pounds, and availability mornings, weekends, and holidays. Benefits include health/vision insurance and a 401k.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hospitality industry background preferred.
• Fluent English (reading/writing/speaking); other languages beneficial.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds.
• Mornings, weekends and holidays shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set and prepare tables, including folding napkins and placing tableware.
• Ensure tableware conditions and report any defects.
• Stock, maintain and clean server stations.
• Assist servers with table service and beverages.
• Transport dirty tableware to the dishwashing area.
• Clear and reset tables for the next guests.
• Respond to guest inquiries in a timely, friendly manner.

Description

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Set and prepare tables for dining, including, but not limited to, folding napkins, cleaning and placing tableware, serving water, etc.
• Ensure tableware is in good and working condition and report any defects for repair
• Stock, maintain and clean designated food station(s) / server station(s)
• Assist food server(s) with table service, including, but not limited to, serving beverages, bread and butter, etc.
• Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
• Clear dirty table settings and preparetables for resetting
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous background from the hospitality industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Will be required to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals.
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Will be required to work mornings, weekends, and holidays.
