Job summary

Bellmoor Inn & Spa in Rehoboth Beach is seeking a detail-oriented team member to help set and service tables, stock stations, and assist food servers with beverages and bread service. You will transport dirty dishes and prepare tables for resetting, ensuring a welcoming dining experience for guests.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, fluent English, reliability for mornings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous background from the hospitality industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Will be required to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals.
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Will be required to work mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set and prepare tables for dining, including folding napkins, cleaning and placing tableware.
• Serve water and assist food servers with beverages, bread and butter.
• Stock, maintain and clean designated food/server stations.
• Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to the dishwashing area for cleaning.
• Clear dirty table settings and prepare tables for resetting.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely, friendly manner.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Set and prepare tables for dining, including, but not limited to, folding napkins, cleaning and placing tableware, serving water, etc.
• Ensure tableware is in good and working condition and report any defects for repair
• Stock, maintain and clean designated food station(s) / server station(s)
• Assist food server(s) with table service, including, but not limited to, serving beverages, bread and butter, etc.
• Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
• Clear dirty table settings and preparetables for resetting
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
