Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, a multi-state school dining operator, seeks a kitchen teammate to prepare and serve meals across breakfast and lunch service. You’ll assist with line setup, follow recipes, and help with occasional catering. Emphasis on safety, temperature control, and FIFO inventory in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Ability to provide customer service in a school dining setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the set-up of serving lines and ensure proper food temperatures.
• Assist in food preparation per menu plan and Opaa! recipes.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; maintain FIFO inventory.
• Clean kitchen and cafeteria areas, stock cooler/storage racks, and restock items.
