Job summary

Pepperjax Development Company is seeking a friendly, customer-oriented Host to be the first point of contact for guests and to provide warm welcomes and excellent service. You will greet guests, manage reservations and oversee the flow into the dining area while helping maintain a clean, organized host area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage reservations and create seating arrangements to ensure an efficient flow of guests.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus.
• Assist in coordinating with the waitstaff team to ensure timely service.
• Answer phone calls and provide information to guests regarding restaurant hours specials and promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host area including keeping the reception area clean and tidy.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure accurate wait times and communicate any special requests or considerations.
• Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain knowledge of the restaurants offerings including menu items and daily specials.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
