Breakfast Cook / Evening Reception Cook

Position: Cook

Operate the functional areas of the breakfast and evening reception, serving as the first impression and “face” of the restaurant to all guests. Assist in service as needed on the floor to maintain smooth operation and enhance the guest dining experience. Ensure the operational readiness of the breakfast area by preparing for, maintaining, and recovering from various activities within the kitchen. Maintain the evening reception area at a high standard.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and engage guests
  • Maintain the breakfast buffet area; keep entrance, breakfast, and kitchen areas clean and organized
  • Maintain the evening reception area; keep entrance, reception, and kitchen areas clean and organized
  • Prepare simple dishes, dressings, and foods according to directions and Hilton standards
  • Conduct regular inventory of food and kitchen supplies; order items as necessary to maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Maintain a “can do” and “guest first” attitude at all times
  • Work as a team member to ensure each guest has an experience that exceeds expectations
  • Resolve guest complaints promptly and to the guest’s satisfaction; respond to service requests efficiently

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous food & beverage experience, particularly cooking
  • Positive attitude with a desire to meet guest needs
  • Flexible schedule to work early mornings (5am to 12pm), weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to read and understand English to follow instructions
  • Ability to lift, pull, or carry items weighing 50 pounds or more
  • Prior ServSafe and ABC certifications are a plus
