Breakfast Cook / Evening Reception Cook

Operate the functional areas of the breakfast and evening reception, serving as the first impression and "face" of the restaurant to all guests. Assist in service as needed to maintain smooth operation and guest satisfaction. Ensure operational readiness of the breakfast and evening reception areas, including preparation, maintenance, and recovery within the kitchen.

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet and engage guests
• Maintain the breakfast buffet area, keeping entrance, breakfast, and kitchen areas clean and organized
• Maintain the evening reception area, keeping entrance, reception, and kitchen areas clean and organized
• Prepare simple dishes, dressings, and foods according to directions and standards
• Conduct regular inventory of food and kitchen supplies; order items as necessary
• Maintain a "can do" and "guest first" attitude at all times
• Work as part of the hotel team to ensure guest satisfaction exceeding expectations
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve complaints satisfactorily

Qualifications

• Prior food & beverage experience, especially cooking
• Positive attitude with a desire to fulfill guest needs
• Flexibility to work early mornings (5am-12pm), weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read and understand English
• Ability to lift, pull, or carry items weighing 50 pounds or more
• Prior ServSafe and ABC certifications are a plus
