Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott South Bend Downtown is seeking a guest-focused team member to deliver breakfast and beverage service in a fast-paced hotel setting. You will greet guests, prepare breakfast items, specialty coffee, and grab-and-go offerings while upholding Courtyard by Marriott standards.

The role requires early mornings, weekends, and holidays, with duties including POS operation, maintaining cleanliness, stocking, and helping with opening and closing tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, barista tasks, or customer service preferred.
• Willing to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Basic food handling knowledge (ServSafe a plus).
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Prepare and serve breakfast items, specialty coffee, and menu offerings per Courtyard by Marriott recipes and standards.
• Operate POS and process transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and prep areas to health department standards.
• Stock and replenish food, supplies, utensils, and grab-and-go items.
• Set up, break down, and clean equipment; assist with opening and closing duties.
• Provide product knowledge and recommendations to guests.
• Support other hotel needs to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Follow uniform, appearance, and service standards.
