Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Graphic Design Specialist to act as a specialized design resource within the Marketing Department, supporting strategic pursuits, interviews and presentations, conferences, business development efforts, and major Marketing initiatives.

This role translates complex information into brand-consistent visuals, develops templates and libraries, and collaborates with Proposal Managers while maintaining McMillen’s design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5-10 years of related experience in graphic design or marketing.
• AEC industry experience preferred.
• Proven ability to support proposal development, interview presentations, marketing initiatives, and business development in AEC.
• Proficiency in creating proposal graphics, infographics, maps, diagrams, schedules, and charts.
• Experience maintaining branded templates, libraries, and marketing collateral.
• Experience supporting conferences, tradeshows, and high-visibility marketing initiatives.
• Ability to coordinate with external vendors (printers, signs, tradeshow partners).
• Experience in a matrixed organization with multiple offices and teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a specialized design resource supporting strategic pursuits, interviews and presentations, conferences, business development, and major marketing initiatives.
• Develop custom graphics including infographics, process diagrams, org charts, schedules, workflows, maps, and icons.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear visual communication with cross-functional teams.
• Provide targeted design support for high-priority pursuits while PMs handle layout and production.
• Develop and maintain templates, libraries, and reusable visual assets for independent use.
• Design interview and presentation materials (PowerPoint and Canva) and related visual assets.
• Support conferences and major initiatives with booth graphics, signage, and collateral.
• Produce marketing collateral like qualifications, capability statements, brochures, and segment-specific materials.
