Job summary

The Boston Beer Company is seeking a motivated Co-op to join our Brand Finance team, supporting FP&A activities, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close in a fast-paced consumer goods environment. This 6-month program runs January 4, 2027 through June 25, 2027.

The role follows a hybrid work model with three days per week at our Boston Seaport Corporate Office and two days remote. You will collaborate with Finance and Brand teams to provide financial insights and help drive process

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Must continue to be enrolled in school after the completion of their co-op.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day requests from Brand teams for financial information, reports, and analyses.
• Support the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reporting and performance updates.
• Partner with Finance team members to provide insights into budget performance and spending trends.
• Assist with month-end close responsibilities, including accrual reconciliations and post-close analyses.
• Support the validation of financial results to ensure accurate reporting against approved budgets.
• Prepare and maintain reporting tools and templates used during the monthly close process.
• Assist with Latest Estimate (LE) cycles and updates to the overall financial plan.
• Support forecasting activities and monitor business performance against approved financial targets.
• Help identify risks and opportunities within forecasts and budgets through ongoing financial analysis.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives across multiple finance workstreams.
• Assist with developing more efficient reporting, tracking, and planning processes.
• Support ad hoc projects and analyses that contribute to business decision-making and operational efficiency.
