Job summary

Jobtailor in Burbank, CA is seeking a diligent maintenance and exterior cleaning technician to support multiple locations. You will operate power washing and striping equipment, apply cleaning agents, and ensure ADA compliance and safety on all projects.

Responsibilities include surface inspection, painting touch-ups, routine maintenance of tools, inventory management, and collaborating with team and partners. This role requires physical work, outdoor conditions, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with power washing, maintenance, or construction-related work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect surfaces and determine appropriate cleaning methods.
• Set up and safely operate power washing equipment.
• Remove dirt, grime, mold, graffiti, loose paint, and debris.
• Apply cleaning agents and detergents as needed.
• Use water reclamation equipment where required.
• Clean canopies, under-decking, and company-owned exterior structures.
• Operate hand-held and ride-on striping equipment.
• Measure and prepare surfaces using chalk lines, guide marks, and ADA templates.
• Apply paint to parking lots, walkways, and designated areas.
• Ensure compliance with ADA standards and safety regulations.
• Perform light interior and exterior painting projects.
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment.
• Maintain power washing and striping equipment.
• Manage inventory of tools and parts within audit expectations (+/- 1%).
• Maintain assigned company vehicle and follow scheduled service requirements.
• Perform general facility upkeep, including lighting, ceiling tiles, and wall repairs.
• Ensure ADA signage is compliant and clearly visible.
• Complete work orders to quality and performance standards.
• Stay informed on industry best practices, materials, and techniques.
• Collaborate with team members and external partners.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience with power washing, maintenance, or construction-related work is a plus
• Ability to operate equipment and work outdoors in varying conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to perform heavy work and significant physical activity and strength
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, perform repetitive motions, and use equipment
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs from floor to waist
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs from waist to shoulder
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs overhead
• Ability to carry up to 100 lbs up to 20 feet
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
• Ability to work varied hours with reasonable notice
