Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc. is seeking a seasoned technical trainer and support specialist to service all branch locations. The role covers shop floor support, field service, and classroom training, with responsibilities spanning troubleshooting, equipment updates, and cross-branch information sharing.

The ideal candidate will be a Level IV mechanic who can coach others, travel to branches, and work across shifts to ensure comprehensive training coverage and timely technical support.

Qualifications

• Must be a Level IV mechanic with above-average performance.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor mechanics during training.
• Must commute and spend time in all branches for training in classroom and shop/field.
• Must interact/communicate with CAT to solve equipment problems and share information.
• Must work as a team with trainers/technical support to improve technicians’ skills.
• Must be willing to be on-call at all hours to support technicians’ repairs.
• Must be available for 2nd or 3rd shift to offer training across shifts.
• Must travel to other branches to cover all locations.
• Strong support for MacAllister Employee Workforce Development plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide updates on equipment and new product introductions.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of equipment and related software.
• Serve as technical go-to person for branches and share information across locations.
• Conduct classroom and on-the-job training for branch staff.
• Coordinate technical communication with CAT and disseminate across branches.
• Own training initiatives in assigned branches to meet goals.
• Collaborate with Technical Communicator on CAT information sharing.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
