Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc. seeks a skilled technical trainer and field support specialist to deliver comprehensive support across branch locations. You will troubleshoot, repair, and update equipment, while coordinating with CAT and sharing knowledge across teams.

The role involves hands-on training, classroom instruction, and on-site support, with travel to various branches to ensure coverage. A level IV mechanic with mentoring ability and strong CAT communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a level IV mechanic with above average performance.
• Must be able to coach and mentor mechanics during learning.
• Must be able to commute and spend time in all branches for training.
• Must interact/communicate with CAT to solve equipment problems and share information.
• Must work as a team with trainers/technical support personnel to ensure progress.
• Must be willing to be on-call to support repairs.
• Must be available for 2nd or 3rd shift as needed to train all shifts.
• Must be able to travel to other branches for coverage.
• Must support MacAllister Employee Workforce Development plans.

Responsibilities

• Update equipment and manage new product introductions.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and repair support for equipment or related software.
• Serve as the technical go-to person for branches with hydraulics, engines, powertrain, electrical/electronics, CAT systems.
• Lead technical training for branches in classroom and on-the-job settings.
• Communicate technical information with CAT and disseminate across branches.
• Collaborate with CAT to share information across all locations.
