Job summary

Cal Coast Credit Union seeks a supervisory professional to assist the Branch Manager in delivering exceptional member service and achieving branch goals in San Diego. The role emphasizes operations, staff development, policy implementation, and growth initiatives, reporting to the Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Supervisor.

The incumbent may conduct staff meetings, oversee audits, manage loan queues, and ensure accurate new account and loan processing while maintaining compliance with BSA/AML

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of experience in a financial institution performing the full range of new account, loan and operation functions.
• Must maintain Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) registration under Safe Act and provide the MLO registration number to consumers daily.
• Strong sales and service skills are required.
• Working knowledge of negotiable instruments and financial industry rules.
• Ability to perform complex financial transactions accurately and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Guide and monitor departmental workflow with management communication.
• Mentor staff and provide training, feedback, and direction.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure proper coverage.
• Perform audits and certifications to ensure policy compliance.
• May serve as Notary and handle overrides and transaction approvals.
• Process new accounts and loans accurately and resolve member issues.
