Job summary

Farmers National Bank is seeking a teller to open, maintain, and close various bank accounts, generate referrals, process teller transactions, and assist other tellers with sales techniques and referral opportunities. You will provide excellent customer service and maintain the teller area per bank policy.

Responsibilities include handling cash drawers, signing checks up to 50,000, processing various transactions, balancing daily, and cross-selling bank products.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year retail banking experience with cash handling preferred.
• Previous supervisory and sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run a teller cash drawer to cover daily branch staffing.
• Sign official checks up to 50,000 and complete teller overrides.
• Process savings, checking, holiday savings accounts, loan payments, safe deposit box rentals, tax deposits, and withdrawals.
• Accept checks for cashing per procedures; sell money orders and official checks; collect applicable fees.
• Balance teller cash drawers daily and resolve discrepancies with management if needed.
• Maintain professional appearance and adherence to bank policy including dress code and cell phone policy.
• Handle vault cash with dual control and manage vault transactions and currency strapping/dating.
• Ensure all documents and records are secured daily; assist customers with safe deposit boxes.
• Open/close branch following security procedures; support sales targets and cross-sell products.
• Provide training and guidance to tellers on policy changes and product knowledge.
• Make outbound sales calls and open new accounts; complete account maintenance and document preparation.
• Serve as Notary if credentialed and fulfill weekly/monthly/quarterly operational duties.
• Complete mandatory training including BSA/AML compliance; maintain attendance.
