Job summary

Responsibilities

• Run a teller cash drawer to cover the daily needs of the branch staffing model.
• Exercise authority to sign official checks, not to exceed $50,000 and complete teller overrides.
• Accept and process transactions including savings, checking, loans, and deposits.
• Accept checks for cashing per procedures.
• Sell money orders and official checks and collect fees.
• Balance teller cash drawer daily and report discrepancies to management.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code and policies.
• Ensure vault cash is handled under dual control and proper procedures are followed.
• Secure negotiable instruments and confidential records; assist with safe deposit box rentals.
• Open and close branch following security procedures.
• Support daily sales referrals and coach tellers to meet goals.
• Educate staff on policy changes and product knowledge.
• Exercise sound judgment in resolving client and staff issues.
• Cross-sell bank products and services; make outbound referrals.
• Open new accounts and complete related documentation.
• Notary duties where credentialed.
• Complete weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational duties and mandatory training.
