Job summary

Grainger is seeking a Branch Sales Associate in Portland to provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers. You will maximize sales opportunities, build customer loyalty, and perform essential warehouse tasks throughout the day.

You will report to the Branch Manager and will need to adapt to branch hours, safely lift up to 50 pounds, and operate powered industrial equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, order entry, and safe loading of customer vehicles.
• Look for opportunities to maximize sales and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication for email, phone, or in person interactions.
• Prepare will call orders and shipments.
• Backorder preparation and stock replenishment.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom upkeep.
• Perform inventory counts and maintain branch standards.
• Learn multiple computer systems used for customer and warehouse tasks.
