Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in Chesapeake, VA, is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee the daily operations of the commercial paint branch, including scheduling, customer service, marketing, merchandising, inventory, financial reporting, and safety.

You will develop and motivate branch employees, implement business strategies to meet goals, and grow market share by selling to wholesale customers, while ensuring exceptional service and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally.
• Must have at least 1 year of leadership experience supervising others.
• Must have at least 1 year in retail, sales, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develop business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability.
• Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to store employees.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Build knowledge of all products to ensure effective customer recommendations.
• Build positive relationships with wholesale customers.
• Complete branch administration.
• Ensure compliance with safety, loss prevention, and security policies.
• Maintain outstanding store condition.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting as required.
• Manage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action.
• Respond to and resolve customer or employee complaints.
• Make outside sales calls to increase market share.
