Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in Chesapeake, VA seeks a Branch Manager to oversee daily floorcovering operations, drive wholesale sales, and lead store staff. This role manages scheduling, customer service, merchandising, inventory, and safety while building business strategies to grow market share.

Responsibilities include training and coaching employees, maintaining store standards, coordinating reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Must have at least one year of leadership experience.
• Must have at least one year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develop business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
• Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to store employees
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
• Build and maintain knowledge of all products to ensure effective customer recommendations
• Build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers
• Complete branch administration
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security
• Maintain outstanding store condition
• Provide accurate and timely reporting as required
• Manage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
• Respond to and resolve any customer and/or employee complaints
• Make outside sales calls to increase market share
